Core concepts

Key concepts to get productive with manabiQ quickly.

Roles

Admin / Editor

  • Generate, edit, and publish courses
  • Invite learners
  • View analytics
  • Manage billing (Owner only)

Per-plan admin limits:

Plan Admins
Starter 1
Standard 3
Enterprise 10

  • Take courses they've been invited to
  • Answer quizzes
  • Review their own progress and scores

Course structure

Course
├── Module 1
│ ├── Body / slides
│ └── Quiz (3–5 questions)
├── Module 2
│ └── ...
└── ...

Typical course has 6–10 modules. Each module aims for 5–15 minutes of completion time.

HITL (Human-in-the-Loop)

AI-generated content is never auto-published. A human admin must review and approve before learners see it.

This is a critical safety mechanism:

  1. AI generates a draft
  2. Admin reviews and edits on the /review page
  3. Admin examines the AI Confidence Report
  4. Admin clicks Publish — only then is the course live

This prevents AI mistakes from being pushed to learners unchecked.

AI Confidence Report

A manabiQ-unique feature. Before publish, AI self-audits the generated course against the source material and scores it on:

  • Fidelity score (e.g. 94%) — how closely the course matches the source
  • Coverage score — how well important topics are covered
  • Hallucination detection — fabricated or inaccurate claims

Low scores trigger warnings and suggest regeneration.

Agentic AI (Standard plan and above)

Post-publish, AI keeps learning:

  • Prompt Evolver — Watches learner quiz scores and auto-improves generation prompts
  • Adaptive Quiz — Suggests additional quiz questions targeting weak spots
  • Freshness Manager — Detects source updates and suggests course regeneration

Bilingual feature

Admin authors in English → learners can read in English or Spanish (and Japanese too).

  • One-click language toggle
  • AI translates on first access, cached thereafter
  • Quizzes also translate

One course, multiple languages. No duplicate maintenance.

Data and privacy

  • All data encrypted and stored in Google Cloud (us-central1)
  • Strict Firestore rules — no cross-organization data leaks
  • GDPR / APPI / CCPA compliant data export and deletion

See the Privacy & Data category for details.
