Create your first course
The core feature of manabiQ: upload company materials and AI auto-generates a quiz-backed training course.
Time required
Usually 3–10 minutes. AI generation takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes; the rest is review and inviting learners.
1. Upload source materials
From the dashboard click New Course. You have four ways to add content:
- File upload — Drag & drop PDF, Word (.docx), or text (.txt) files
- URL — Add company wiki or web page URLs
- Google Drive — Connect your account and pick files directly
- OneDrive — Connect Microsoft 365 and select files
Limits:
- File size: 20 MB max
- URL content: up to 10,000 chars
- Multiple sources can be combined
2. Custom instructions (optional)
You can give the AI specific guidance before generation, such as:
- "For new hires; explain jargon in plain language"
- "For managers; add strategic perspective"
- "For compliance training; include real-world examples per module"
3. Choose number of modules
Plan limits:
| Plan | Max modules |
|---|---|
| Trial | 5 |
| Starter | 8 |
| Standard | 12 |
| Enterprise | 20 |
Too few = thin content. Too many = learner fatigue. 6–10 modules is usually a good default.
4. Generate
Click Generate Course. In 30 seconds to 2 minutes, you'll get:
- Course title and overview
- Title, body, and learning objectives for each module
- Quiz questions per module (typically 3–5 multiple-choice)
- AI Confidence Report (see below)
5. Review
The /review page lets you inspect the output.
What you can do
- Edit body, slides, and quizzes per module
- Delete or reorder modules
- Change the correct quiz answer
- Regenerate individual modules
AI Confidence Report
Important feature. AI auto-compares the generated course against your source material and checks:
- Factual consistency — any contradictions with the source?
- Topic coverage — any important points missing?
- Hallucination detection — any fabricated content?
Review the score and evidence before publishing.
6. Publish and invite learners
Once satisfied, click Publish. Then enter learner emails, and invitation emails are sent automatically.
Learners just click a button in the invitation email — no password registration needed — to start the course.
